Financial Services Client Entertainment | David Malek
Privacy and Discretion
Private client events often involve sensitive topics and high-profile guests. I keep phones away from the table, never initiate recordings, and confirm name pronunciations in advance. If your policy limits photos or requires no social posting, that boundary is observed without exceptions. Dress matches your event’s code, from business to black tie.
Sound, Space, and Pace
Finance venues can be reflective or narrow. I work at a natural speaking level and choose material that reads clearly from both sides of a long table. Nothing requires applause to “work,” so conversations continue comfortably. For the short interlude, a compact microphone can tie into house audio if the room demands it; otherwise, the material is designed to be understood up close without amplification.
Service-Aware Timing
The performance is built around your run of show. Interactions pause for pours, toasts, and plate delivery. Pieces are two to three minutes each, allowing quick adjustments if the kitchen speeds up or a speech runs long. The aim is to add texture to the evening without changing its tempo.
A Sample Outline for a Private Client Dinner
-
Arrival (10–15 minutes): light touchpoints near the entrance to welcome guests and spark conversation.
-
First Course (20–25 minutes): brief sequences at each table, completed before the next course lands.
-
Acknowledgments (as scheduled): no performance; the floor belongs to the host.
-
Optional Interlude (5–8 minutes): one unifying moment that returns attention to you immediately.
-
Dessert/Coffee (10–15 minutes): quiet closing pieces for tables that invite them; no forced finale.
