El Segundo Corporate Magician | David Malek
Built for South Bay Pace
El Segundo events move quickly—people step out from campus buildings, grab a drink, talk in short bursts, and head back to the conversation. My program is designed for that rhythm. I’m David Malek, a corporate magician performing compact, clearly structured magic that lands in real spaces: brewery lofts off Main Street, hotel courtyards near Sepulveda, and office lounges a few blocks from the beach.
First Contact: Fast, Clear Moments
As the room fills, I slide into small circles with pieces that start in a sentence and finish on a definite beat. A signed card appears in a sealed place that was in view. A borrowed item shows up beneath a glass that never leaves the tabletop. A thought-of word reveals itself on a guest’s phone. Every exchange runs a minute or two, creates a shared reaction, and leaves the group free to keep talking.
Moving Through the Room
Roving close-up is the backbone: three-to-ten-minute micro-sets delivered among clusters of guests. My route adjusts with the crowd.
If a side lounge or outdoor firepit gets busy, I head in that direction, while also making sure to visit smaller two to three person groups that also love to be included in the magic.
When One Shared Memory Helps
Some programs benefit from a brief, everyone-can-see sequence. I offer a concise stage stage-customizable piece—usually 12–25 minutes—from a small riser or a clear patch of floor. It perfect from standing height, uses voluntary participation, and ends on a crisp cue so the evening can move straight to dessert, a toast, or music.
